The defense writer of the Nation weekly,Ruwan Weerakoon who was charged for attempting to topple the government was today cleared of such charges by the Attorney General.
The Attorney General's counsel informed the Supreme Court today that Weerakoon had been cleared by the Attorney General of all charges.
Weerakoon was defense writer of the Nation weekly.He was arrested by the Terrorist Investigation Unit some time ago and questioned.Weerakoon filed a fundamental rights case in the supreme court challenging his arrest
